Heat press transfer (hot stamping) is a special printing process. Although the principle behind it is easy, which is to transfer the graphics from the film onto the product by heating and pressing, but during the actual process of production, to improve product quality and increase production efficiency, it is necessary that the following points are noted:

1.Have a clean working environment:

 ① Make sure that the machine is clean and free of dust, debris, oil, etc.

②Keep the film clean and do not contaminate it with oil, fingerprints, dust, etc.

③Keep the glue nozzle clean, no dirt or glue should be left on it.

④ The operator's hands must be kept clean and no sweat or oil stains should be on the film or the item to be printed

⑤ Keep the items being printed clean and free of dust, fingerprints, oil, etc.

2.Hot stamping temperature:

 The hot stamping temperature will vary according to the hot stamping equipment, hot stamping film, the item being hot stamped, and the temperature of the hot stamping area. It is not advisable to use an higher hot stamping temperature (the lower the temperature the better). The results of the hot stamping should be used as a benchmark to determine the best hot stamping temperature, generally the ideal hot stamping temperature is between 170 ℃ -240 ℃.

3.Hot stamping pressure: 

The stamping pressure should be adjusted to an appropriate level . If the pressure is too high, damage could be incurred on the glue nozzle and the product being stamped, while on the hand if the pressure is too low, it will affect the end results. After adjusting the pressure, the pressure knob should be locked to avoid any alterations during mass production.

4.Hot stamping time (speed): 

The hot stamping time (speed) should be determined according to the specific item being hot stamped . Under the conditions that the results of the hot stamping are guaranteed, it can be said that the faster the speed the higher the production efficiency, however some products require the use of slow hot stamping speed due to certain special conditions of the items.
